Lavender is commonly known for its healing properties for burns and other skin ailments. Whether you have a painful sunburn or you burn yourself while cooking or in a fire, lavender oil is a MUST to have on hand for ALL healing and emergency needs. Lavender is wonderful for healing and rebuilding skin cells, making your skin feel and look young and new again. It cools the body when dehydrated. When the stomach feels unsettled and you begin to feel indigestion, 1 or 2 drops of peppermint oil is very effective in bringing immediate soothing relief. It aids digestion and soothes the stomach from any painful distress. You can either put a drop or 2 of peppermint oil in your mouth and swallow or you can put 1 or 2 drops of peppermint oil in a glass of cool clean drinking water or in a cup of hot tea, depending on what's most comfortable for you. Peppermint also freshens the breath and makes a wonderful toothpaste when mixed with baking soda. Peppermint is also wonderful to freshen the breath as a mouthwash.
